Antique Sterling Silver Figural Pill Box in the shape of a purse, gold vermeil inside and closes tight, circa 1900s. This piece was probably part of a chatelaine and was used to carry gold coins. It was not marked, but the acid test for silver contents was no less than 925. Measures: 6,5cm long (2.55") total with chain, 4cm (1.57") by 4,3cm (1.69") and 1,5cm (0.59") deep. Wear consistent with use and age, with no damage or repairs, and in excellent vintage condition. Very good size and highly collectible. 13.7 grams.
